I really don’t like this sort of injustice and it makes me uncomfortable to read.

While I thought the world was interesting, I thought the plot to be a tad heavy for my tastes. He’s constantly being tested on his survival skills as he fights literal dragons, swims against the current or else face drowning, and riding across deserts to find why the carriage that was supposed to take him home is leaving with someone claiming to be him! It’s definitely an angsty tale where Javan has to constantly battle to survive and to claim his rightful spot on the throne. Suddenly, well planned out attacks to Javan are taking place. It tells the story of Javan, a prince that has been studying rigorously for the past 10 years in a special school for princes because he wants to honor his late mother’s wishes and bring pride and joy to his kingdom and of course, impress his father. I never read the first two books in this story and understood this one completely. The Traitor Prince is a highly anticipated book that follows in the Ravenspire series but can be completely read standalone. I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. If they fail, they’ll be trapped in Maqbara for good-and the secret Sajda’s been hiding will bury them both. Together, Javan and Sajda have to outwit the vicious warden, outfight the deadly creatures, and outlast the murderous prisoners intent on killing Javan.
